Multiple Checkpoints Planned for Thanksgiving Week

Sheriff Craig Webre announced deputies will conduct multiple checkpoints this week in an effort to keep highways safe around the Thanksgiving holiday. A seat belt checkpoint will be conducted during the daylight hours of Wednesday, November 25, as well as on Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 26. Another Seat Belt checkpoint will be conducted during the evening of Friday, November 27, and a DWI checkpoint will begin Friday night, and continue into the early morning hours of Saturday, November 28. During the seat belt checkpoints, deputies will be checking motorists for seat belt and safety seat violations, as well as other violations such as expired inspection
