Sheriff Craig Webre announced the arrest of Roger Campbell (age 30) of Houma on Wednesday, January 13. On Wednesday evening, investigators learned Campbell was talking with a woman at a Raceland residence when he began to make sexual advances toward her. Campbell was taken into custody for questioning shortly after the incident was reported. Campbell admitted to having sexual intercourse with the victim, but he claimed it was consensual and denied ever using force or violence.
