Sheriff Craig Webre announced one man is dead, another is hospitalized, and two others were wounded after a shooting which occurred during a house party in Raceland overnight. Tra’von Folse, age 20, of Raceland has died as a result of his injuries sustained in the incident.
At around 12:45 a.m., deputies received calls about multiple people being shot at a house party at a Market Street residence in Raceland. Deputies learned 20-year-old Tra’von Folse was shot in the abdomen, and he was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. A 23-year-old male who was shot in the neck and arm was airlifted to University Medical Center in New Orleans and is currently listed in stable condition. Two other men, ages 20 and 24, were treated for gunshot wounds to the buttocks and neck, respectively, and released.
