CHRISY ROUSSE & GARY KIGER:
At around 11:20 p.m. on Sunday, September 20, deputies patrolling the Galliano area observed a suspicious subject near the west bank of Bayou Lafourche. Deputies made contact with the subject and identified him as Gary Kiger (age 44) of Larose. Deputies found Kiger to be in possession of a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Deputies questioned the other man, but he was released. Deputies also made contact with a female, identified as Chrisy Rousse (age 37) of Cut Off, who was sitting in a vehicle nearby and found to be in possession of methamphetamine. Deputies also discovered Kiger to be in possession of several items he had allegedly stolen that evening while visiting an acquaintance’s residence. In all, deputies recovered approximately $1,000 in stolen property and 8.6 grams of methamphetamine. Rousse and Kiger were booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux. Rousse is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond. Kiger was additionally charged with Felony Theft, and his bond was set at $11,000.
Shortly after 4:15 p.m. on Monday, September 21, a man exited a discount store on LA Highway 1 in Raceland when he was approached by individuals, one of whom was identified as Rochell Hodges (age 33) of Raceland, who asked him for gas money. The man pulled out some cash from his pocket, but as he proceeded to hand over $20, Hodges allegedly grabbed the entire stack of money, and attempted to flee in a vehicle. When the man reached into the vehicle attempting to get his money back, Hodges allegedly sprayed him with a personal defense spray. Deputies made contact with Hodges and questioned her about the incident. Following their investigation, deputies placed Hodges under arrest. She was booked into the Lafourche Parish Detention Center on the charge of Second Degree Robbery. She is being held in lieu of $10,000 bond.
