Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced a reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for a vehicle burglary in late July on Peltier Drive in Raceland wherein several thousand dollars in cash was stolen.
Through investigation, detectives learned a woman parked her vehicle outside her residence in the 300 block of Peltier Drive at around 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 26. The woman left a bag containing several thousand dollars in cash from her business inside the vehicle along with a tablet computer. At some point in the hours that followed, the vehicle was burglarized, and the cash and tablet were stolen. The resident discovered the burglary at around 10 a.m. that morning. Detectives learned the suspect likely made entry through the passenger-side door, as they discovered evidence of tampering to the window trim.
